Seriously though, I do wonder whether Russell has thought out all the implications of opening up his world visually to
his readership? I've been a fan of his blog for a while now for two reasons. Firstly, I'm just as geekily obsessed with
the whole moblogging area as he is and secondly, because he has a genuinely engaging and personal style of expression.
If Russell is pissed off about something you'll know it. If he's deleriously over the moon about fixing some obscure
bug, ditto. I've always found his blog wonderfully 3 dimensional (the 3rd dimension being time ;).

But now that he's moving into the 4th dimension by gluing on a visual layer I'm not too sure that I'm alltogether
comfortable with following the story. Delighted and all as I am to see him get his Manywhere Mobloggerapplication off the ground and eager as I am to try it out myself, I'm not convinced that he should be experimenting with it in the laboratory of his personal life! I used to feel like a simple fan, now I feel like a voyeur! I don't want to see shots of Russel's apparment or video of his wife and son going about their own business in their private lives.

Stop and think about it Russell. I'm still blown away by the possibilities of Moblogging but for the documentation of
public events in public places, not personal events in private lives.

Having said that I must admit it was strangely fascinating to observe the 4th dimension for a brief moment and that's
what worries me. Isn't this just an extension of Reality TV? Reality Web. Reality Blog. I can see people
attempting to make a living out of this. Sure, we already have voyeur dorms and the like but what about people turning
their whole 4 dimensional lives over to blog voyeurs? Scary!

Dam. Seems the spammers have blitzkriged yet another useful Internet resource. The Aardvark Speaks tells us that GeoURL "is dead meat" because of fake entries. F&@#ers!!!!!

Seems like Keith Gaughan is my nearest bloghood neighbour right now. The guy seems a little weird so I hope he doesn't hitch 33 miles NW to track me down ;)

In order to appease him I've made him the first addition to my Blogroll (see sidebar)!

Wow, now I'm really kicking this blog into some serious shape for the New Year. I've added a the Blogrolling.com javascript into the sidebar so that I can make some bit of an effort to keep my blog links up-to-date. It's amazing how many great little third party freeby scripts and services there are for plugging into this great free Blogger service!

I see that my GeoURL bloghood is growing like a rash! Cool :-)

The disruptive Web: Fascinating article by John Udell about how disruptive web services can come about at the confluence of such things as digital identity through blogging and RSS subscriptions.

I've just added this blog to the GeoURL Address Server. It's a neat idea. "GeoURL is a location-to-URL reverse directory. This will allow you to find URLs by their proximity to a given location. Find your neighbor's blog, perhaps, or the web page of the restaurants near you."
